The maternity session for Sarah was so much fun! First of all, she had researched images on the web and let me know that she really liked the clean look of a particular group of pictures and she sent me the images so I could see what she had in mind. So she bought a beautiful black dress that was form-fitting and showed off the baby bump. I set up the white backdrop and high-key lighting. Then we just had fun having her pose in traditional fashion-type poses. This will be baby #2, so we also included pictures of her first son, who is about the most well-behaved 5-year-old around, and cute as all get out. We also did pictures of the whole family together. Family portraits are important and not really something it’s easy to do well for people using a cell phone. We also always get images of just the mom and dad together, so they have a variety of combinations. In a few months, all four of them will return for the newborn session. I’m really looking forward to meeting their baby!
